Phono Phunk On Unmatched Style

01 Sep 2004 08:36 PM

Another day, another gallery entry! It looks like Ryan Latham thought that this site was good enough to add to the unmatched <style> gallery. I’m glad to see that he mentioned the style switcher because it took quite a bit of effort to get this site working with a liquid layout. I was starting to wonder whether anyone even noticed it. Thanks for the review Ryan. I appreciate the feedback.

    Coolest. Style-switcher. Evar.

And the ladies don’t hurt either.

    Tasty work ;)
Make the fluid layout the default style, it’s too good to put in second place!
I chickened out of making my current design fluid, but you should be proud of your work.

Nooooooooo…. Please don’t make me default to liquid! I browse maximised and long line lengths make it really hard for me to read.

The style switch should get stored in a cookie anyway, but the switch isnt smooth right now because the style is changed once the entire page loads. I’m going to try and fix this soon. Too busy with real work right now.

Found your site via unmatched and glad I did. You’ve got a really nice design and an excellent style switcher. An inspiration to us all :)

Thing is, you’re website is really filled with all kinds of nice touches. Your eye for detail is really visible (excuse the pun).

Would you like to post an article on what exactly you did in this redesign (or actually evolution). It’d be quite insightfull I imagine.

And the really creepy thing is that there is no aspect I don’t like about this website (except the SAY IT! button on comments). It just isn’t normal. You’re more of a designer than you know :)
