Over The Hill

It’s official. I’m over the hill. Today I turn 29. I got some great encouraging words from my sister earlier on. “Bro, in a few hours you’re gonna be over the HILL!” Ah, you can always count on family to cheer you up!
Something happened yesterday that cheered me up though. I went to the local service station to pick up a packet of smokes. The girl behind the counter smirked at me and asked to see some ID. “ID? You’re trying to flatter me right?", I replied. She was a little shocked when I showed it to her. I guess I must be doing alright if she thought I was under 18!

Happy Birthday to you. If you’re over the hill, I’m close to dead. I’ll be 32 later this year, although I still feel 23. At least you can say you’re in your 20’s! I do consider myself lucky, though - I do still get carded! Cheers to you!
