Firefox 1.0 Released!

After two years worth of hard work by a great team of people, Mozilla Firefox 1.0 is finally out! A huge congratulations to everyone involved in the project. Your effort is appreciated more than you’ll ever know. Firefox is available for all major platforms and you won’t miss out on features just because you don’t run the latest OS and service pack. If you’ve been waiting for an official release before trying it or recommending it to friends, then stop waiting! Get Firefox now!

In other news, I’ve made a few changes to the site:

Let’s see how long it takes before Phono Phunk explodes in a ball of flames…

    May I give it a shot? ;)

All good news, man. Let me know if the comment validator works well enough.

If anyone wants to try and break the comment validation go ahead. I’ve tried to throw a few spanners in the works and it seems to handle it ok. Haven’t tested too much though because I’m flooded with work right now.

I love the liquid layout! Of course stupid old IE doesn’t get the min-width and max-width, which works brilliantly here (in FF). People who still use IE punish themselves by not being able to see great websites the way they should be. Oh well.

Your site already looked great! Now it is great :-)

Okay, vulnerability: my ampersands in the name, email and web site fields weren’t encoded. So that gives an XML error.

Anne: Thanks man… If you weren’t so anal about xhtml and utf-8 I probably would never have converted ;)

Rob: oops yeah… I’ll just do a quick htmlspecialchars on those for now. Should be good enough

This site looks freaking awesome. I still need to side-link it, or do a post with a screenshot.

That was it, to which the validator said,

Just gorgeous. And since I don’t like liquid layouts, it’s great with the style switcher :o) I think I sat for one minute straight just looking at the sidebar..
