New Release: Shy Boy Remix

It’s been just over 2 years since I posted any new music here at Phono Phunk. Time flies when you lack inspiration! Well, luckily for me, Jeff Tyler hooked up a remix job a few months ago. This forced me to get back into the “music” thing again. After such a huge break, my skill set was very rusty and I think it really shows. I’m not crazy about the end result (the mix is pretty horrid) and since the job has kind of fallen through, I decided I’d upload it here. I’m not sure if anything will ever happen with this track at some point in the future.

• Shy Boy Remix – First remix in over 2 years. Collaboration between me and Jeff Tyler. Cheesy, commercial-ish vocal house.

Mid December came and went without any new tunes. I think I’ve got writer’s block or something. I sit in the studio, write some music, listen back to it a few hours later and it’s all crap. I decided to look back through some of my older tunes and see if anything inspired me. Well, something did…

Time To Get Tough

I’m currently taking a break from work for a couple of weeks, so I finally get some time to spend in the studio banging out the toonz. I spent my first day off sleeping in and recovering from a big weekend, but on the second day I was right in there getting the creative juices flowing again. I’ve uploaded a track I’m working on right now called “Pussy Supreme", so go grab it. By the way, I would really like to start getting some vocals on some of these tracks. If you can help, please get in contact with me.

On another note, it’s good to see so many people downloading my music. I would like to thank everyone for the really supportive emails and for taking the time to listen to my tracks. :)

Apple Acquires Emagic

On July 1st 2002, something really shocking happened in the audio world. Emagic, makers of Logic Audio, were acquired by Apple. I put together a parody of Apple’s “Switch” campaign using a friend’s picture and a few other resources I found on the web. Yes… he’s a Logic PC user!

I Get By With A Little Help

Phono’s Angels (meet my bitch remix) has been updated. I had a couple of friends help me out with some parts and I think it’s turned out pretty good. Thanks go out to Sascha and Øistein! You guys rock!

I’ve also tried writing a php script to track downloads. Don’t be shocked to see that a track has only been downloaded one time. Everyone knows that my music has been downloaded by (er… um…) thousands of people!! If there are any problems with the download script, please let me know.

Sleep Is Overrated Anyway

Work, work, work… My web development job is really starting to kill my social life. On the other hand I’m making some decent cash during a time of great need :). I’ve decided to stop sleeping. Sleep is for the weak. No sleep = work done + new music too!! I’ve found the magic formula!!!

Blacksoul Remix Of Big Spliff

World exclusive… Phono Phunk being remixed. You may remember me putting up a short mp3 sample of a track I was working on called “Big Spliff". A few days later I was contacted by a Croation producer named Tomislav “Badass” Pasanec. He runs Blacksoul Music. I got to hear some of his stuff and was simply amazed by the quality. When he offered to do a remix of “Big Spliff", I couldn’t say no.

I love what he’s done with it. Very different to the original, but also very deep and sexy. I have uploaded a newer version of the original mix and have also linked the Blacksoul remix so you can compare them. Go grab them now!
